The way that you approach the game of poker has a lot to do with how often you win, as well as the way that you advance your career. Every poker player has their own unique approach, and you should not be any different. When you learn how to properly approach the game and your competition you will find yourself in a better position. Hopefully this will lead to more earnings and a better overall experience in the long run.
Some players approach the game from a position of power. They know a lot about poker, and show this off whenever they get a chance. These players are not afraid to take on the competition, and are willing to do whatever it takes to win. If you are outgoing this may be an approach that suits your needs.
On the other hand there will always be poker players who are more laid back. In other words, you may know a lot about the game (or maybe not) but do not like to show this. There is nothing wrong with being a bit “shy” when it comes to playing poker. Remember, you do not have to talk a lot in order to play this game. You can if you want, and some players do, but it is not mandatory. Some players concentrate much better when they approach the game from a quiet, personalized point of view.
You can approach the game of poker however you please. Do what is best for your career, and not what you have seen work for others. And remember, your approach can and probably will change over time. The way that you play the game now may not be the same in the near future.
